Peer Review Process

Article Submission and Publication Process

Following the submission of the manuscript and the authors’ information through the journal’s submission system, the following stages are carried out sequentially:

1. Preliminary Evaluation of the Manuscript

The manuscript is initially evaluated by the journal’s editorial officer/managing editor. This evaluation may result in one of the following outcomes:

  • Forwarding the manuscript to the Editor-in-Chief

  • Rejection of the manuscript due to structural, content-related, or methodological incompatibility

  • Request for revision of the manuscript based on the approved structure of a scientific research article before it is forwarded to the Editor-in-Chief. This request does not constitute acceptance of the manuscript. If the authors do not respond to the requested revisions, the manuscript will not enter the peer-review process.

2. Evaluation of Manuscripts Submitted to the Editor-in-Chief by the Editorial Board

At this stage, the manuscript is either rejected or two reviewers are assigned to evaluate it.

3. Possible Outcomes Following Peer Review

If the manuscript is sent to reviewers, one of the following outcomes may occur. For further information, please refer to the Peer-Review Process page:

  • Full acceptance or acceptance subject to revisions by both reviewers

  • Rejection by both reviewers

  • If the manuscript is rejected by one reviewer and accepted by the other, it will be sent to a third reviewer, whose decision will be decisive.

  • If the reviewers request minor revisions, the manuscript will be accepted after the requested revisions have been completed.

  • If the reviewers request major revisions, the manuscript will undergo a further round of peer review after the revisions have been completed.

4. Sending a Revision Letter to the Authors

A revision letter containing the comments and recommendations of the reviewers and the journal is sent to the authors.

5. Evaluation of the Revisions by the Editor-in-Chief

The revisions made by the authors are evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief (in cases where the decision is acceptance subject to revisions).

6. Evaluation of the Revisions by the Reviewers

The revisions are evaluated by the reviewers, who then determine whether the manuscript should be accepted or rejected (in cases involving major revisions).

7. Sending a Rejection Letter

If the revisions are not approved by the reviewers, a rejection letter is sent to the authors.

8. Sending a Payment Request

A payment request letter is sent to the authors (no fees are currently charged).

9. Sending the Acceptance Letter

An official acceptance letter is sent to the authors.

10. Academic and Language Editing

The manuscript and its Persian and English abstracts undergo academic and language editing. If necessary, a final revision letter is sent to the author.

11. Journal Layout and Typesetting

The articles are formatted and typeset according to the journal’s publication standards.

12. Uploading the Articles to the Journal Website

The finalized articles are uploaded to the journal’s website.

13. Cover Design

The journal cover is designed.

14. Publication on the Journal Website

The issue and its articles are officially published on the journal’s website.
